The client operates numerous locations throughout North America and around the world. Many of these locations demand high levels of security, and prior to this project, required personnel to monitor and restrict access at key checkpoints. This previous system was undeniably costly and labor-intensive.
The client operates numerous locations throughout North America and around the world. Many of these locations demand high levels of security, and prior to this project required personnel to monitor and restrict access at key checkpoints. This previous system was undeniably costly and labor-intensive.
The client’s goal was to centralize the monitoring of these separate locations using remote access and video monitoring technology. This would allow expanded access times for the client’s employees at these remote locations, including 24/7 access in some cases, while also reducing labor costs by enabling a single individual to effectively monitor multiple sites at once. The client also wanted to use the space as a centrally-located “Disaster Response Center” from which senior executives and specialists could quickly gather to work and assist with problem resolution.
Synergy worked with the client to design a control system that incorporated the following:
- Large displays by each workstation, from which operators can share their personal monitor-array with co-workers for group collaboration on solutions
- A large central display which allows for presentation from additional devices as well as display of any video feed from individual monitor consoles to be shared with the whole room
- Additional fixed displays dedicated to displaying televised news and/or weather channel feeds
This project resulted in more efficient monitoring capabilities for the client. Upon implementation, this Global Security Operations Center saved the client a tremendous amount in labor cost while maintaining optimal security. The simple, elegant monitor array that Synergy CT provided was built around an infrastructure which met the client’s budget and allowed for easy and economical expansion of the system. It not only meets the clients’ current requirements, but is fully capable of keeping pace with any increased security demand corresponding with industry growth.
